How to use World Clock & Meeting Planner
Choose the cities to compare
The city you choose first becomes the base and builds the time axis of the table. Usually you choose the city you are in first. You can add up to eight, and one slot must be left free.
Set the base date and working hours
The date is in the base city. You can move one day at a time with the left and right buttons to look at a different day of the week. Set the start and end of working hours yourself. The end time is not included, so with 9:00 to 18:00, a meeting starting at 17:00 still counts as working time.
Check the overlapping slots
Slots that fall within working hours are marked, and if there is a window where everyone overlaps, it tells you from what time to what time. If there is no overlap, it tells you the time with the most overlap instead, so you can decide who attends early or late.
Copy the chosen time and share it
Click a slot and the local time in each city is listed below. Press copy schedule and text with each city's date and time, and whether it is outside working hours, is copied so you can paste it into an email or messenger as it is.
What it’s good for
Fit meeting times with overseas offices
When you choose cities, the 24 slots of the day in the base city are filled with each city's time. Slots that fall within working hours are marked, and if there is a window where everyone overlaps, it tells you from what time to what time. If there is no overlap, it tells you the time with the most overlap instead, so you can decide who attends a little early or late.
Spot cities where the date is off by a day
With a large time difference, the same moment falls on a different date. Cities where the day is off are marked as the previous or next day, and a boundary line is placed at slots where the date changes after midnight. Regions with daylight saving time, such as the US and Europe, are calculated with the actual offset on the chosen date, so the changed time difference between March and November is reflected as it is.

Swipe the table sideways to see the rest.
| Mark | Meaning | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Filled slot | Working hours in that city. | Look for a column where all are filled. |
| Vertical boundary line | The date changes at that slot. | Check whether the meeting crosses midnight. |
| Previous day / next day | The date differs from the base city. | Check each city's date to write in the invitation. |
When the result isn’t what you expected
There is no overlapping time at all
This is common when you put Asia and the Americas together. Try widening working hours or reducing the cities. If there is still none, it tells you the time with the most overlap, so you can decide who attends early or late.
The times in the table seem to be off by an hour
In regions with daylight saving time, the time difference changes with the date. Set the base date to the actual meeting date. Between March and November, the time difference with the Americas and Europe is an hour different from usual.
A certain time is missing from the table
On the day clocks move forward, some times are skipped in that region. They do not actually exist, so they do not appear in the table either. On the day clocks move back, the same time appears twice.
I want to change the base city
The time axis of the table follows the city you chose first. Deselect all cities, then choose again starting with the one you want, and the base changes.
Key terms
- Base city
- The city that becomes the time axis of the table. The one you choose first is the base.
- Offset
- The time difference from UTC. Even the same city differs by season because of daylight saving time.
- Working hours
- The hours when it is fine to schedule a meeting. The start is included and the end is not.
World Clock & Meeting Planner FAQ
Is daylight saving time taken into account?
Yes. It is calculated with the offset that actually applies in that region on the chosen date. On the day clocks change, times that do not exist in that region do not appear in the table, and times that occur twice appear twice.
How many cities can I compare?
Up to eight at once. The city you choose first becomes the base and builds the time axis of the table.
Can I change working hours?
You can set the start and end yourself. Shifts that cross midnight, such as 22:00 to 6:00, are handled too.
Can I see it by the minute?
It shows hourly steps on the hour. For regions with a 30-minute offset, such as India, the 30 minutes are shown in the table as they are.
Does it filter out weekends and public holidays?
Days of the week and public holidays are not covered. It only compares times, so please check by moving the date yourself.
Can I put the chosen time straight into a calendar?
It does not create a calendar file. You copy the schedule to get text with each city's time and paste it into the invitation.
