How it works and good to know
Clicks are scheduled ahead on the audio clock (look-ahead), so the beat stays steady even when the page is busy or you switch tabs. BPM ranges from 20 to 300, counting one note of the time signature’s denominator as one beat (6/8 is six eighth notes, accented on beats 1 and 4). The downbeat is a high click, secondary accents slightly lower, and subdivisions quieter. While you’re on another tab, setting changes take effect about a second later. Phones may stop when the screen turns off, so a keep-screen-on option is provided.
