How it works and good to know
Takes up to 50 audio files at once, 2 GB each. Reads M4A (AAC), WAV, OGG (Vorbis, Opus), FLAC, AAC, WebM and MP3, decodes the sound the same way as Video to MP3, and encodes constant-bitrate MP3 with LAME. The size is bitrate × length ÷ 8 (192 kbps for 3 minutes ≈ 4.3 MB). MP3 is lossy, so choosing a higher bitrate than the original does not improve the sound. Files are converted one after another and never sent to a server. Browsers that cannot decode audio directly (iOS and Safari 16.4–18, for example) convert files up to 20 minutes each. Video files are pointed to Video to MP3.
