    How to use

    1. 01

      Press Start test

    2. 02

Wait while latency, download and upload are measured in turn

    3. 03

How it works and good to know

Measures to the nearest Cloudflare data center (the public test endpoint speed.cloudflare.com), so results can differ from your plan’s speed or the speed to a particular server. Latency is the median of 20 small requests, and jitter is the average difference between consecutive latencies. Download and upload send several files at once, starting small and growing, and use the 90th percentile. Fast connections transfer up to about 210 MB. Results aren’t saved and don’t pass through UtilPick’s servers. For subscribers in Korea, it also notes that fee reductions for speeds below the guaranteed minimum are judged by your provider’s official test, and links to the public speed test of Korea’s National Information Society Agency (NIA, speed.nia.or.kr).

    Internet speed test

Press start to measure latency → download → upload. It takes about 20–40 seconds.

    3. Upload
    • Requests go straight to Cloudflare’s public test endpoint (speed.cloudflare.com), and Cloudflare can see your IP address. UtilPick never receives or stores the results.
    • A fast connection transfers up to about 210 MB per test (much less on slow ones). On a mobile data plan, test over Wi-Fi.
    More about this test
    • This measures the speed to the nearest Cloudflare data center. It can differ from your provider’s advertised speed or the speed to a specific game or site server.
    • Video or downloads in other tabs, a VPN, or power-saving mode can lower the result.
    • For subscribers in Korea claiming compensation: this result can’t be used. Fee reductions for falling below the guaranteed minimum speed are judged by your Korean provider’s official speed test, and the public-agency test is run by Korea’s National Information Society Agency (NIA) at speed.nia.or.kr.

Mbps means megabits (10⁶ bits) per second. Divide by 8 to get the MB/s shown in download windows (100 Mbps ≈ 12.5 MB/s). Required speeds by use are rough guides that vary by service and quality.
