How it works and good to know
Takes one video file up to 4 GB and saves the result as MP4. Fast moves H.264 or HEVC video into an MP4 file without re-encoding, so there is no quality loss, it finishes in seconds and the size stays about the same. Compatible MP4 re-encodes the video to H.264 at a bitrate matched to the original (1.5× for HEVC, VP9 and AV1), capped at 0.2 bits per pixel per frame and 40 Mbps. AAC and MP3 audio is copied as is; anything else (Opus, Vorbis, PCM and so on) becomes 192 kbps AAC. HEVC video, which iPhones record by default (High Efficiency), may not play on Windows PCs, older devices or some websites, so Compatible MP4 is recommended for it. The result is held in memory, so if it would exceed 2 GB the tool asks you to split the video with Trim Video first. Files are never sent to a server, and you can cancel at any time.
