How to use PDF to JPG
Open the PDF and check the pages
Check the actual order of the pages you need. The page numbers printed in the document can differ from the PDF page order.
Specify the range
If the whole document is 50 pages or fewer, you can convert everything with an empty range. Selecting only the sections you need, like 1-3, 5, reduces time and result size.
Choose the format and size
Compare JPG for sharing and PNG to keep small text and lines. When you choose the long side, the short side is decided to match the page proportions.
Save the finished images
As result cards appear one after another, save them individually or collect them as a ZIP. Even if you stop, finished results remain, but changing the settings clears the previous results.
What it’s good for
Save PDF pages you want to share as images
Add a PDF and specify the pages you need, like 1-3, 5. Use JPG when sharing like a photo, and PNG to keep small text and lines sharp. The original page numbers are shown in the results, so you can tell which pages you pulled out.
Conversion size and page selection
If you choose 1,600px or 2,400px on the long side, pages are converted keeping their original proportions. Up to 50 pages are processed in sequence at a time, and if you stop, the pages already finished can still be saved. If you change the settings, the previous results are cleared, so convert again.

Swipe the table sideways to see the rest.
| Choice | When to use | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| JPG | Sharing photo-centered documents | Lossy compression can leave artifacts around small text. |
| PNG | Keeping lines, small text and charts | File size can get large. |
| 2,400px | Enlarging to read bigger | It does not create detail that wasn't in the original. |
When the result isn’t what you expected
The document is over 50 pages
Convert in parts, like 1-50 and then 51-100 in the next run. You need to save the previous results before changing the settings.
It stopped midway or went over 100MB
You can save the results that finished. Reduce the range or the long-side size and convert again.
Fonts or pictures differ from the original
The browser redraws the PDF, so special fonts or PDF features may be shown differently. Compare with the original and, if needed, export as images from the original program.
Key terms
- Rendering
- The process of drawing a PDF's text, pictures and layout as pixels.
- Long side
- The number of pixels on the longer of the width and the height.
