How to use HWP Viewer & Editor
Choose a document
Choose one HWP or HWPX file and the browser starts reading it. Documents over 20 MB or over 200 pages cannot be added.
Check the pages
Use the previous and next buttons or enter a page number to go to the page you want. When you change the page, the text for that page changes with it.
Set the view size
Pick a zoom level between 50% and 250% or use Fit width. When there are many tables or the text is small, raise the zoom to check them.
Edit it or take the text
Open Edit document to change text and formatting and download in the original format. You can copy the whole document's text or save it as TXT. The order of lines and tables in the copied result may differ from the original, so compare the parts you need against the page.
What it’s good for
Opening and editing a document
Once you choose a file, the document is read in this browser and its pages are shown. Open Edit document to change text and formatting in a canvas editor, then download the result in the original HWP or HWPX format (the Hancom Office formats widely used in Korea). You can also go to the previous or next page or a specific page number, zoom from 50% to 250%, and fit to width.
Checking drafts and save status
A draft for each open document is kept temporarily in the same browser profile, and restoring opens it as a new copy so tabs do not overwrite each other. If you close an edited document before saving the file, the browser's standard close warning may appear, but this is not guaranteed on mobile. When auto-saving to a folder you chose, the original name is followed by UtilPick and the document ID to protect the original, and if writing to the folder fails the draft is kept.

Swipe the table sideways to see the rest.
| Method | Result | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Previous / next | Moves one page at a time forward or back. | Reading the document in order |
| Page number | Jumps straight to the page you enter. | Finding a specific page |
| Fit width / zoom | Changes the size to the screen width or 50 to 250%. | Checking tables or small text |
When the result isn’t what you expected
The file will not open
Check that the extension is HWP or HWPX and the file is 20 MB or less. A document with a password or distribution protection must be re-saved as a copy with the protection removed.
The pages look different from the original
Depending on the tables, images and fonts in the document, the page shown in the browser can differ from the original. Check at a different zoom, and compare against the original program before submitting.
The copied text is different
Copying and saving as TXT work on the text only and do not keep the table cell structure or page layout. Check the pages you need against the screen.
Folder auto-save fails
Check the folder permission and browser support. Even if writing the file fails, the draft kept in the browser stays, and browser auto-save and the actual file save status are shown separately.
